  Dear Parents

With regard to the West Bengal Govt. directive regarding extension of Summer Vacations in school due to heat and humidity, Birla High School – Mukundapur will go back to online classes from Wednesday, 15^th June 2022. Time-table will be shared in the respective Google Classrooms.

Please do not send your children to school from 15^th June onwards.  Normal physical classes will resume from Monday, 27^th June 2022 onwards.

All unit tests scheduled will now be held after 27^th June in the offline mode. A new test schedule will soon be put up.

Dear Parents

Due to the heat wave and prevailing situation, the management has decided to resume online classes from Monday 2^nd May 2022 to Friday 6^th May 2022, both days inclusive. Time-table will be shared in the respective Google Classrooms.

Students of Class IX and the student council members of Class VIII must report to school on Saturday 7^th May at 8:00 a.m. to attend Dr. Kumar Vishwas Program at the Science City Auditorium. The school has made all the necessary arrangements. Parents must make it convenient to pick up their wards from school at 1:00 p.m.

The date of vaccination for the second dose for the eligible students is Saturday 14^th May 2022. All details will be notified closer to the date.

Notice Regarding School Fees

It has been our proud privilege to provide the best in education and personality development to our students for over 4 years and we have always received due support from all parents.

However, in the current abnormal phase the reciprocal concerns of the parents and the school go back to the early times of the setting of the pandemic, April 2020 to be more precise. We have traversed a rather rough path which has left us with issues that may take some time to be addressed fully. It has again been the solidarity between the parents and the institution which has been the hallmark of this period as also patience, mutual support and mature understanding. The school has intended throughout the pandemic to stand by the needs of the online teaching to our students and its outstanding quality that was the need of the hour. We have also been proactive in addressing and understanding difficulties of certain parents facing financial pressures, while, at all times, abiding by the directions of the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta, as issued from time to time.

 I would want to list out the measures taken from our side to build the required solidarity and understanding.

vThere has been no increase in fees since the academic session 2019-20.

vThe school had voluntarily introduced fees reduction since April 2020 to cover only those facilities that were being provided, much before the directions of the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court in this regard.

vWe voluntarily waived off late fine charges and provided extensions of last dates of fee payment for the entire duration of the pandemic from April, 2020 to March, 2022.

vThe facility of making reduced fee payment on a monthly basis was introduced in October 2020 and was extended voluntarily for the entire duration of the pandemic till the instruction of the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court for monthly payments which were received only in February 2022.

vWe have provided concessions over and above the 80% stipulation laid down by the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court, to those parents who deserved additional relief to the extent of providing even full waivers in certain deserving cases.

vThe planned scholarships that have been part of academic sessions have continued throughout the pandemic as hither fore.

vNo coercive action for non-payment of fees has been taken despite certain cases having long outstanding dues.

vNo members of staff have been denied their dues in the pandemic period nor any kind of pay cuts have been implemented.

vThe school has followed the orders of the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court in letter and spirit despite a large fee backlog on the one hand and increasing costs due to inflationary trends in upkeep, maintenance and salary bills, especially the large increase due to the Government Sixth Pay Commission implementation, on the other.

Now that the fog of the pandemic is lifting and conditions are improving rapidly all round, the schools would be reopening in full strength from 04th April 2022. We are gearing up to welcome the full school strength and eagerly waiting to commence the physical teaching/ learning process conforming to the high standards associated with our school. The revised fees structure for Academic Session 2022-23 (which we are entitled to charge in terms of the order of the Hon’ble High Court since restriction imposed by the Hon’ble High Court is no longer applicable for the Academic Session 2022-2023 and which we believe are fair and reasonable as the structure still recognizes the difficulties enumerated above) has been intimated to you vide Fee Circular no. BHSM/CIR 21-22/037 dated 19^th February 2022 including the last date of fees deposit which is 10^th April 2022, and we implore you to follow this.

The time we have all been waiting for has finally arrived and the school and the teachers are ready to welcome the students back again. You are aware that the government has permitted schools to commence physical classes for all classes following necessary COVID guidelines and safety measures.

Offline Classes will commence for Nursery and Kindergarten from Thursday 3^rd March, 2022.

Please make it convenient to join the interactive session with the Headmistress at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, 26^th February, 2022 for addressing all your queries and concerns regarding the reopening of school. The Zoom link has been given in the Google Classroom.

Fee Circular

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We trust that all our students and their familiesare keeping well and have been taking all due care, particularly during the Covid times. We are delighted to note that a degree of normalcy is being restored in stages in our daily lives, particularly in the educational pursuits of our students, with offline classes resuming.You are already aware that the physical classes have resumed for Classes VIII to XII and the West Bengal Government notification dated 14^th February, 2022 outlines the opening of the primary and upper primary sections from 16^th February, 2022. The primary classes (Class I and Class II) will commence from Monday 28^th February 2022. Being in the exam mode now, we plan to commence offline classes for upper primary and middle levels after the ongoing exams finish, and that too in a phased manner.

Please note that under the authority of the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta orders dated 18^th February, 2022 the present arrangement for the students to pay 80% fees will continue up till 28^th February, 2022 only. The School has from time to time issued notices to the parents requesting them to pay outstanding fees in terms of the order of the Hon’ble High Court as per services provided. In spite of repeated reminders, it is disappointing that there are some parents who have failed to make due payments and clear their outstanding dues. The school is sending separate individual communication to the concerned parents requesting them to clear pending fees and charges till 31^st March, 2022 by 25^th March, 2022. The fees chargeable w.e.f 01^st March, 2022 to 31^st March, 2022 from all students, one month only, is attached as Appendix A to this circular.

In terms of the order of the Hon’ble High Court, w.e.f new academic session commencing from April, 2022 the school has decided to revisit the fee structure in view of prevailing situation and the revised school fees w.e.f April, 2022 is enclosed as Appendix B to this circular.

We would also like to inform you that keeping the safety of the students in view we shall be conducting full offline classes for some students and continue the hybrid form for others. The details shall be intimated to all by 25^th March, 2022.

In terms of the order of the Hon’ble Calcutta High Court dated                      18^th February, 2022, you are required to note that a student shall be allowed to resume classes after 31^st March, 2022 only if the fees and charges as per the Hon’ble High Court order have been paid. Further, fees and charges must be paid in advance for each month, w.e.f April, 2022 by 10^th of every month.

          This notice is issued subject to any further order(s) that may be passed by competent authorities/court(s).

We sincerely hope that your active cooperation and intent, will continue to implement the said decision in accordance with the Hon’ble Court’s order.
