The 1983 cricket world cup winning legend Kapil Dev once said, “Apart from education, you need good health, and for that, you need to play sports.”...and you really need to trust him on this as he is 100% correct.

Sports is something which you should certainly encourage your little one to take interest in. Apart from being one of the greatest modes of entertainment for them, it keeps them fit and healthy and may pave a road for them for a career.

At Birla High School - Mukundapur, sports has been an integral part of the curriculum. From regular sports classes to yoga, we make sure our students don’t become the dull Jack from the tales.

We celebrated our very first Annual Sports Day on 23 February 2019 and it was every bit as amazing as we thought. Here are key highlights from the day.

Unbelievable Turnaround

We did not leave any stone unturned in organizing the annual sports meet. Days of practice by the little ones resulted in some great drill performances on the day. With tireless efforts by the school teaching and non-teaching staff, we could pull off the day successfully.

Every child from all classes took part in races and drills and yoga. From the Hoola race to a race with NGO kids, it was a day full of fun and laughter. The kids were uber excited and the participation was indeed mind blowing. Click here to check out the images of the sports meet.

We were enthralled to see the number of parents who turned up for the event and thank them for their huge support. They were not only cheering for their little ones but were also encouraging other kids to do well. This sportsman spirit from the parents was indeed commendable. The cherry on the cake was a fun race for the parents where we saw grown-ups become children again, full of enthusiasm and sportsman spirit.

We want to thank our chief guest, Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua, dignitaries from the Vidya Mandir Society, parents, teachers, staff and last but not the least, our dear children who made this day a grand success.
