Wish you all a very Happy New Year!!!

This is to inform you that the Final Assessments for classes VI and VII will commence from Friday 19th February 2021. It is mandatory for all the students to appear for the same. Please note the following:

ØEach Assessment will be of 50 marks.

ØThe duration of each assessment will be 1 hour 30 mins.

ØAfter the stipulated time, the answer script must be uploaded in PDF format instantly, failing which the answer script will not be marked.

ØIn case the student faces any difficulty while  uploading the answer script, the same should be converted into a PDF format and mailed immediately to the Principal  at :

ØStudents must have their video on while writing the paper. We have made provision for online invigilation.

ØNo one barring the student himself/herself must be present in the room for the assessment.

N. B.àDuring the days of assessments (Friday, 19th  February 2021 to  Friday , 5th March 2021)  students will be given a 30 minutes break after the paper followed by Revision Session  for the next day’s assessment --

The revision session  will be conducted either Orally or on the given student engagement platformà

Dear Parents,

 We will be celebrating the Founder’s Day of our school on Wednesday, 16^th December, 2020.  Various activities to mark the occasion will be conducted on this day.

·        We are hosting SPELLYMPIC 2020, an Inter-School Spelling and Word Building Competition.  Please find attached the Invitation Card for the event. We look forward to you joining us to view the contest on our Facebook page.

·        All our students, teachers and office staff will contribute towards a greener planet by planting a sapling on this day.  We look forward to your co-operation.

·        Our students have made a short presentation to celebrate Founder’s Day.  A video of the presentation may be viewed on our official Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/bhsmkolkata on Wednesday, 16^th December, 2020.  We are sure you will enjoy watching it.

Please note that classes will remain suspended on Wednesday, 16^th December, 2020 to enable students and teachers to participate in all the activities.

You will be happy to know that we have organized an interactive and activity based workshop on the topic – “ Developing Communication Skills”.

We would like both parents and students to attend the workshop on Saturday, 12^th December 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The workshop will be conducted by Mrs. Mansi Sanghvi – who is a counselor in a leading school in Kolkata.

 We urge you and your ward to participate in the above and we are sure it will be a joyful and unique experience.

Notice to Parents Regarding Payment of School Fees

Dear Parents,

 In these deeply troubled and testing times for all, solidarity is perhaps the best means with which to face the situation. We would like to thank the very many parents for their patience, support and mature understanding in these difficult times, particularly those who have paid school fees in time and those who have paid the full fees.

For our part, our reciprocal concerns reach back to the early days of the crisis which prompted us to take various steps, within our limitations, well before they were requested or mandated. The school has intended to stand by its students and proactively moved in taking multiple steps in accommodating and understanding difficulties of parents facing financial pressures.

The Hon’ble High Court at Kolkata directed under Para 61 Clause 18 of its Order dated that 30^th November 2020 was the last date for payment of fees to ensure continuity of schooling. A large majority of parents have followed this, while a limited number applied for further concessions, which have been/are being addressed as per the said Order, and the applicants have been/are being informed individually.

For those parents who may not yet have made the payment as per the Order, we wish to inform you that in the interests of students and also for your convenience, we are voluntarily extending a limited flexibility for the month of December 2020. It is sincerely expected and requested that all dues will be cleared within our self-extended time frame upto 31^st December 2020.

We respectfully again reproduce the Hon’ble High Court’s statement in its order “Parents and guardians of students are requested not to avail of the reduction in schools fees, if their financial situation does not merit the reduction. However, if any set of guardians or parents obtains the benefit, no questions in such regard can be asked”.

It is also conceivable that you may wish to consider alternative schooling venues for your ward. Therefore, in the event any parent wishes to withdraw/transfer your ward as we approach the end of the Academic Session 2020-21, kindly be informed that Para 61 Clause 20 of the said Order of the Hon’ble High Court shall be followed in this regard.

For propriety, we may mention that the overall matter of fees etc., continues to be sub-judice and hence the above is without prejudice to our right and obligations. Final orders of the Hon’ble Courts shall be applicable as and when delivered.

Dear Parents , Teachers and Students 

 Global Health Foundation, a Bangalore based organisation will be conducting a session on menstrual hygiene for all the girl students of Class IV, V, VI & VII and the teachers .  The session is scheduled for Saturday  October 10, 2020 from  9 am to 9.45 am , and  will be  followed by a question and answer session. Mothers of the students  may also join the session . The session  will be conducted through Zoom, the link and the password will be sent through Campus Care for security reasons.
